Atlanta Blues Society News:
The ABS is an official 501c3 Non-Profit organization to which all donations are tax deductible. Sound boring? It's not. It means the ABS can receive grants and corporate sponsorship which leads to bigger and better events and increased community exposure.

The Atlanta Blues Society has a great web site with all the local blues news, band lists, club lists, blues radio shows, Atlanta area blues jams, upcoming show dates - everything! They also have an online Atlanta blues shopping mall featuring Atlanta Blues Society merchandise (like shirts, hats, koozies, etc), and even CD's from your favorite Atlanta bands (including the Breeze Kings). It's a fantastic site. Check out www.atlantablues.org

The Atlanta Blues Society has kicked of the ABS Bluescast - a 24 hour, 365 day internet blues audio cast. This thing is awesome! A perfect mix of local Atlanta bands, contemporary, regional, and national bands, as well as all time blues classics. The url is www.absbluescast.org and it works great for dial up connections as well as high speed connections. The Atlanta Blues Society is the first blues society in the country to do this and the sound quality is top notch.

The ABS hosts a monthly meeting for members, usually (but not always) on the third Sunday of each month. The next meeting will be Sunday June 22 at Spiced Right BBQ in Roswell from 3pm-6pm. There will be live music by The Patrick Vining Band and a members blues jam, so don't miss it. Check out the ABS web site at www.atlantablues.org for more details and directions.
